Heartbroken Syed, who cheated days before their nuptials with nasty banker Danny Pennant, pleads with Christian to give their relationship another go.

But Christian is adamant their marriage is over and moves in with his best friend Roxy Mitchell.

Two of EastEnders biggest stars are leaving the soap in a massive shake-up.

Marc Elliot, 32, and John Partridge, 40, who play gay lovers Syed Masood and Christian Clarke, are being written out.

The pair, dubbed Chryed by viewers, have a devoted following with dozens of fan sites.

They will make their exit in November in an explosive storyline that bosses are keeping under wraps.

Executive producer Lorraine Newman said: “Marc and John have been a fantastic part of the show and their characters have been a huge success.

Christian Clarke and Syed Masood fans are attempting to raise £2,000 for gay, lesbian and bisexual charity Stonewall after being inspired by their storyline.

Following a turbulent start to their relationship the pair officially became a couple in July 2010, when Syed chose Christian against the disapproval of his strict Muslim family.
