Louisa Lytton tells Inside Soap that she would be interested in returning to EastEnders

Louisa Lytton has revealed that she would be interested in returning to EastEnders.

The actress starred as Ruby Allen in the soap for over a year between March 2005 and November 2006.

Of a potential return to Walford, Lytton told Inside Soap: "I love the thought of going back to the Square - even if it was for a week for old times' sake.

"From a personal point of view, it would be nice to show Ruby as an adult. People walked all over her and she cried all the time - so I'd like to see her return to Walford as a hard-faced bitch!"

BBC announces the actress’s first new television role since quitting EastEnders.

The BBC has confirmed that Lacey Turner, who plays Walford’s Stacey Slater, will be guest-starring in BBC Three’s Being Human. The character, Lia, is the actress’s first new role since she announced her resignation from EastEnders earlier this year.

Turner described the cast and crew on the set of the drama as ’really welcoming’ and said, ’I can’t wait to watch how the story comes together on screen when the series airs.’

Lacey Turner has been looking back on the five and half years she has spent playing Stacey Slater on EastEnders.

In an interview with magazine TV Times, Turner cited her favourite moments as ‘all the Bradley and Stacey stuff,’ adding ‘I love the fact that we became everyone’s favourite couple and working with Charlie [Clements] because we got on so well.’

Actress Lacey Turner has revealed how the only thing keeping her alter-ego Stacey Branning going after her husband Bradley died earlier this year is her unborn baby; and that the market-stall trader has nothing other than the arrival of her first child to look forward to in her life since she was tragically widowed on her wedding day.

Lacey said: "She’ll put everything into being a mum. The baby’s given her a reason to live now that Bradley’s gone."

Fair and Square: EastEnders takes home 10 British Soap Awards

A good night for EastEnders at the British Soap Awards 2010.

It was a triumphant night for EastEnders at the London Television Studios, where they managed to bag 10 out of a possible 17 British Soap Awards.

Accolades went to the Who Killed Archie Mitchell storyline and the EastEnders Live episode while Larry Lamb (Archie Mitchell) and Charlie Clements (Bradley Branning) also took away Villain of the Year and Best Exit, respectively.
