Spoiler Watch: BBC Week 9

The extended Branning family comes together.

Here’s our rundown of the new set of Spoilers, for the episodes which will air in the first week of March.

First up, Lucy Beale, who seems to be having all sorts of tantrums whenever babies are mentioned. Mmmm, the spoiler we published a little while back about someone being pregnant couldn’t possibly be true could they? I have a sneaking feeling that Lucy’s pregnancy could be the result (and baby) that Jane has been wanting for several months now.

Another EastEnders pregnancy

Things are about to get a whole lot more complicated for the Beale family with the news that Lucy is pregnant.

Teenage tearaway Lucy Beale is about to fall pregnant in an explosive new EastEnders storyline.

Dad Ian is horrified - but stepmum Jane, who can’t have kids, thinks it will answer her dream of having a child to spoil.

Lucy, played by Melissa Suffield, 17, discovers she is expecting after losing her virginity. She slept with newcomer Leon Small (Sam Attwater) earlier this year.

Update: BBC deny Bradley storyline

The Sun’s claim that Bradley Branning is to commit suicide has today been refuted by the BBC.

EastEnders bosses this morning refuted rumours that one of the show’s much-loved characters is to commit suicide during the soap’s live 25th anniversary episode.

A tabloid newspaper today claimed that Bradley Branning - played by 22-year-old Charlie Clements - will stun the residents of Walford by leaping off a building and plummeting to his death in "one of the most heart-breaking soap goodbyes ever".

EastEnders is set to break one of the last remaining social taboos. Read on for a big Spoiler that’s happening between now and the live episode, according to The Sun.

According to reports published in The Sun today, Bradley Branning is to stun fans by committing suicide, throwing himself off a building in Albert Square when he becomes a suspect in Archie Mitchell’s Christmas Day murder.

According to show sources, it will be one of the most heart-breaking soap goodbyes ever, saying "They have pulled out all the stops and it’s a real tear-jerker.

"By killing a main character with a sympathetic suicide, the writers are breaking one of the last taboos.

Will EastEnders odd couple Dawn and Gary have a happy ending?

The usual way to leave Walford is by black cab, but EastEnders has really pushed the boat out this time. Odd couple Dawn Swann and Garry Hobbs - played by Kara Tointon and Ricky Groves - sail out of the soap down a canal. In their final scenes, shot in Enfield, North London, Garry jilts Dawn on their wedding day - as we revealed that she cheats on him with Phil Mitchell. But she rushes to the canal to stop him leaving. An EastEnders insider said viewers will have to "wait and see" if it’s a happy ending.
