Tony Discipline Not Guilty

Judge rules 'no case to answer' and orders a Not Guilty verdict.

An EastEnders star walked out of court a free man today after he was cleared of an assault that left a clubber with a shattered jaw.

Tony Discipline, 23, who plays Tyler Moon in the BBC show, stood accused of hitting 21-year-old Hayden Deol so hard he needed two titanium plates fitted in his mouth after an incident at Merah in London's Belgravia.

Deol said he was punched after he and his cousin Sab Deol, also 21, made a joke about the actor’s clothing, but Discipline claimed he had acted in self-defence.

Shona McGarty suspended

Constant lateness at the set sees her sent home without pay.

EastEnders actress Shona McGarty has been suspended from the BBC One soap for regularly missing her scheduled start times.

Twenty-year-old McGarty has played troubled Whitney Dean since being introduced as Bianca's adopted daughter in 2008.

A BBC spokesperson said: "Shona has been suspended for repeatedly being late for filming."

The actress has reportedly been suspended for four weeks without pay.

Shona McGarty wants to take a break from 'EastEnders', saying she'd like to try a pop career.

In an interview with the Daily Star, she said, 'I love Motown music and singing has always been a passion of mine. It's a real dilemma as I love acting but I also want to sing.

''I want to do something with music. It's a risk but at least you can say you've done it. ''I really love 'EastEnders' so it's going to be hard to make the break.''

Shona - who is dating newly axed colleague Matt Lapinskas is keen to emulate her idol, Kylie Minogue.

Tyler tries his best moves on Whitney to try to get her to go on a date with him but nothing appears to be working. Although Whitney likes Tyler, she is apprehensive about going on a date with him but Fat Boy encourages her to have faith in herself. She meets Tyler and they sit in an awkward silence. Tyler attempts a casual conversation, but Whitney surprises him by leaning in for a kiss.
