Sharon Rickman

Drug addiction hell for Sharon

Sharon's secret will soon be revealed.

EastEnders' Sharon Rickman (Letitia Dean) is suffering with a drug problem. Sharon returned to the BBC show at the beginning of August seeking Phil Mitchell's help after fleeing from her wedding to John. After John shouted at his ex-fiance, "Does he know your little secret?", viewers were left pondering what she was hiding and this week finally see's Sharon visiting an Addicts Anonymous meeting, where she confesses her addiction to painkillers.

Seven episodes for Sharon

The end of the Olympics sees Sharon back and other big stories erupt!

In a hugely dramatic week featuring a whopping seven episodes, it's clear that there's no place like home for both Sharon and EastEnders - as they both return to BBC One.

After seven years away, Walford's original princess explodes onto Albert Square in a whirlwind of trouble. She's in desperate need of Phil's help, but whilst Phil attempts to rescue Sharon from her nightmare, he is unaware that his is only just beginning - as Shirley uncovers the truth about who killed Heather!

Dramatic return for Ian

Where's Ian been since getting dumped at the alter?

Ian Beale is set to return 'EastEnders' after living on the street for several weeks.

The ambitious businessman - played by Adam Woodyatt - was last seen by viewers leaving the BBC One soap walking along a motorway in his pyjamas and dressing gown after suffering a mental breakdown when fiance Mandy Slater refused to marry him on their wedding day.

He also struggled to cope with half-brother Ben Mitchell confessing he had killed Heather Trott and fans were left wondering what had happened to Albert Square's longest resident.

Sharon's return storyline revealed

Sharon turns to Phil in her time of need as Letitia Dean returns to EE.

Letitia, who is one of Walford's most recognisable faces, left EastEnders in 2006 after a five-year stint on the show in which she reprised her role of Sharon, who had originally been in the series from 1985 to 1995.

The daughter of infamous Albert Square villain Dirty Den, Sharon fled Walford after the death of her husband Dennis Rickman, but is set to return in a dramatic new storyline.

Letitia's back on set

EastEnders returnee - better known as Sharon - has been spotted at Elstree.

EastEnders star Letitia Dean was spotted arriving at BBC Elstree Studios ahead of her return to the long-running soap.

After an absence of more than six years, her character Sharon Watts will make a return to the streets of Walford in the next few months.

During the last week, the star has been seen going into the BBC Elstree Studios, in Clarendon Road, Borehamwood after leaving Albert Square in 2006.

McFadden praises Sharon comeback

Steve McFadden on Letitia Dean's return to EastEnders

Steve McFadden has praised the decision to bring Letitia Dean back to EastEnders.

It was reported earlier this month that Dean is to reprise her role as Sharon Watts, making her comeback in the summer.

Speaking to The People, McFadden - who plays Phil Mitchell - said: "We've a lot of history in the show. When Letitia was here, it was the golden era of EastEnders.

"I'm happy about her returning. I reckon they must have some good plots in the pipeline for us."

Letitia Dean returns to EastEnders

A welcome surprise sees Sharon Rickman reappear in Walford later this year.

EastEnders' bosses are bringing back the show’s original “Princess” – with the return of Sharon Watts.

Feisty Sharon, played by Letitia Dean, last appeared in 2006 after being one of the original 1985 cast – as the adopted daughter of Dirty Den and Angie.
