Jessie Wallace arrives back on our screens on Thursday 7 June. The EastEnders favourite was temporarily written out of EastEnders as she struggled with the heartbreak of cancelling her wedding last summer.

In the run-up to Kat's return, we'll see Kat's on-screen husband Alfie pays a visit to his wife and then returns to the Square with her a fortnight later.

Bianca makes a new friend

Bianca’s uncles Jack and Derek Branning have to split up the pair in the Queen Vic pub. Furious Bianca can’t believe it when she discovers some of the make-up she’s trying to sell has been nicked, so she goes round to the pub and falsely accuses little Shenice Quinn of stealing it.

Alfie to cheat on Kat

Six of one and half a dozen of the other in latest story rumour. 

The Mirror reports that Alfie will cheat on Kat with Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons) while Kat is away looking after her dad Charlie, who has suffered a stroke.

A source said: "It's been clear for a while that Roxy has a soft spot for Alfie, but things are going to heat up in the coming months.

"She begins to work with him more and more at the Queen Vic, and Alfie's feelings for Roxy then begin to grow.

Rita Simons reveals panic attack suffering

The Roxy Mitchell actress tells OK magazine of the panic attacks she has suffered since having twin daughters in 2006.

Rita Simons has spoken out about the panic attacks she has suffered from since her twin daughters were born.

The 34 year-old actress, who plays Roxy Mitchell in EastEnders, and husband Theo became parents to Jaimee and Maiya in April 2006.

Simons told OK magazine: "When Theo and I went out for our first night out after the kids were born, we were having a subdued dinner with friends and suddenly I couldn't breathe.

Michael Moon's behaviour is to take a sinister turn as he becomes more obsessed by Ronnie Branning.

According to the Daily Star, Michael will ask girlfriend Roxy to start wearing the same perfume as her sister and will even be shown rooting through Ronnie's underwear drawer.

A Walford insider revealed: "Everyone knows Michael has a mean streak but he is set to get a whole lot worse. He's trying to meddle in as many people's lives as possible. It seems he wants Ronnie all to himself. But what exactly is he up to?"

Actress Rita ponders the future for her and her alter-ego

EastEnders actress Rita Simons has been chatting about her on-screen sister Samantha Womack’s impending departure from the soap, and says she is ‘absolutely dreading it’.

‘She really is like my sister,’ she went on to tell Digital Spy, ‘and even though I'm sure it'll be fine as I have so many friends here, to think that she won't be around is really quite depressing! But I'll have to get on with it!"

Secret Supper

Roxy and Michael hatch a plan to try and get Alfie and Kat back together.

Roxy and Michael hatch a plan to reunite Kat and Alfie. They decide to put on a secret supper for 6. Meanwhile, Jack is frustrated trying to convince Ronnie to go to the dinner. Ronnie tries to get out of it but Jack remains firm, he wants her there tonight. Michael gets Alfie to the gym as Kat, Jack and Roxy are all waiting. Jack is relieved when Ronnie arrives. The atmosphere is strained but Michael does his best and soon the old Kat and Alfie begin to spar but it doesn’t last long.

EastEnders star John Partridge reckons his character Christian Clarke and Syed Masood would make great fathers.

Viewers will see John’s character hatch a plan to get best friend Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons) pregnant.

John told Inside Soap magazine: "Christian and Syed [known together as Chryed to fans] would be amazing dads. They’re the perfect combination - you’ve got Syed for the sensible, moralistic stuff, and then there’s Christian for fashion and music!
