Queen Vic Fire

Billie’s Death and Baby Swap Dominate Enders’ BSA Nods

Can EastEnders better their Silver Ten this year?

The complete British Soap Awards shortlist for 2011 was unveiled today – revealing 16 nominations for EastEnders across all 15 categories.

The soap’s controversial cot death/baby swap plotline received a nod in the Best Storyline category. In their roles as grieving parents Alfie and Kat Moon, Shane Richie and Jessie Wallace have been recognised individually in the Best Actor and Actress categories, and jointly with Best On-Screen Partnership nomination.

Yes, it is true. The destruction and absence of the Queen Victoria has released in me angst I didn’t know existed.

I have a massive case of "Pub-Envy."

I am not sure if this is a British, European, or anything-but-American thing, but this local pub idea, a la the Queen Victoria, is fantastic!

The Great Fire of Walford - Behind the Scenes

Matt Conder has an exclusive chat with EastEnders Production Manager Rona McKendrick about filming the dramatic Queen Vic fire.

“Get outta my pub!!!” - That’s something we won’t be hearing again – not from Peggy at least. After 16 years of pulling pints and punches, the legendary character of Peggy Mitchell - wonderfully played in over 1600 episodes by Barbara Windsor, left the Square last Friday to make a fresh start.
