Natalie Cassidy misses Patsy Palmer

Former EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy has admitted that she is frustrated at missing out on the chance to reunite with Patsy Palmer and Sid Owen on screen.

Palmer and Owen returned to the soap last month to film Frank Butcher's funeral following the death of Mike Reid in July. The pair play Bianca and Ricky Butcher in the show, sister and brother-in-law to Cassidy's character Sonia.

Patsy Palmer has spoken out about her return to EastEnders, saying she "can't believe she's going back".



The 35-year-old actress left Albert Square nine years ago, and despite insisting she'd never return, fans will soon see her back in business as mouthy Bianca.



"I can't believe I'm going back," she told OK! magazine. "After being there so long and then leaving, it was the weirdest thing to open the script and for it to feel natural."

Owen to join Palmer in EastEnders

Actor Sid Owen is to return to BBC One soap EastEnders to reprise his role as Ricky Butcher, the BBC has said.

The announcement comes a day after it was confirmed his former co-star, Pasty Palmer, would also return to the show in her role as Bianca Jackson.

The pair endured a stormy relationship which eventually ended, and viewers will see Ricky return to Albert Square with his new fiancee.

"I'm over the moon they've asked me to come back," Owen said.

Patsy Palmer returns to EastEnders

Former EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer is returning to the BBC soap after eight years.

The 35-year-old – who played Bianca Jackson between 1993 and 2002 – is to walk back into Walford as a single mother with a hoard of children in tow, each with a different father.

Speaking of her return, the actress said: "I'm really excited about rejoining the cast and working with old friends again. I can't wait to explore what Bianca has been doing with her life and seeing what she is going to get up to next."
