Matt Lapinskas has recently taken part in an interview with BBC Radio 1's Sara Cox where he talked about his plans after he leaves the soap in the Autumn. The BBC recently announced his axing.

On his time in EastEnders, Matt said: "It's been a great year. Obviously I'm leaving in a little while - I should be on screen until about September time - but I've loved my year there."

Matt told Sara: "My ideal job? I'd love to go off and do some great films. I'd love to work with Guy Ritchie, that's putting it out there."

Shona McGarty wants to take a break from 'EastEnders', saying she'd like to try a pop career.

In an interview with the Daily Star, she said, 'I love Motown music and singing has always been a passion of mine. It's a real dilemma as I love acting but I also want to sing.

''I want to do something with music. It's a risk but at least you can say you've done it. ''I really love 'EastEnders' so it's going to be hard to make the break.''

Shona - who is dating newly axed colleague Matt Lapinskas is keen to emulate her idol, Kylie Minogue.

One of the two Moon brothers has been axed as ratings continue to fall

EastEnders ratings have dropped to less than 6 million recently, with 5.7 million tuning in to one of this week's episodes, representing an almost 10% drop in viewers since the start of 2012.

This may be down to Britain's Got Talent on ITV, but a number of characters are leaving the show in the next few months including Tanya Branning, Dot Cotton and Janine Butcher, who will all take six-month breaks over the summer.

The soap has also lost favourites Bianca, Ricky and Pat Butcher recently.

EastEnders' Tony Discipline puts socks in his underwear to make his manhood look bigger onscreen.

The actor - who plays Tyler Moon in the BBC One soap - planned to take the socks out of his pants before filming began, but he decided against it when his co-star Matt Lapinskas, who plays his onscreen brother Anthony, didn't take a hat out from his underwear.

After flirting with Poppy and kissing Jodie, who will Anthony choose?

While unloading a van of stock, Tyler and Anthony come across a cat that has snuck in. The cat runs away and Anthony, Jodie and Poppy go off to look for him separately. Jodie and Anthony bump into eachother while searching for him and end up kissing.

"Anthony still can't decide whether he likes Jodie or Poppy. He and Poppy flirt with eachother earlier in the day but when he runs into Jodie, he can't help himself and kisses her "
