Ian Beale is set to return 'EastEnders' after living on the street for several weeks.

The ambitious businessman - played by Adam Woodyatt - was last seen by viewers leaving the BBC One soap walking along a motorway in his pyjamas and dressing gown after suffering a mental breakdown when fiance Mandy Slater refused to marry him on their wedding day.

He also struggled to cope with half-brother Ben Mitchell confessing he had killed Heather Trott and fans were left wondering what had happened to Albert Square's longest resident.

Lucy Beale is returning to EastEnders with actress Hetti Bywater taking over the role, which was previously played by Melissa Suffield. The character will be back on screen in the new year.

Lucy has been living in Devon for over a year but, missing home, she decides to return when she hears some sad news.

Arriving back in Walford, Lucy is unimpressed when she learns of her dad Ian's new relationship with Mandy Salter, and she will not make life easy for him as she goes head to head with Mandy.
