Tracy-Ann Would Love To Return

Former EastEnders actress would make Albert Square comeback.

Former EastEnder Tracy-Ann Oberman has issued a "come and get me" plea to bosses on the soap.

Oberman joined the soap in 2004 to play the tough Chrissie Watts, wife of established character Den Watts who had recently returned to the serial following a 14 year absence.

However, in 2005 Oberman decided to leave the role of Chrissie after her character became embroiled in a shock storyline which saw her bump off Den with the aid of a rubber doorstop.

Soap life was like Hollywood

Tracey-Anne Oberman spoke with the Daily Telegraph about life on-set.

Former EastEnders star Tracy-Ann Oberman has claimed that the soap world is similar to what life was like on "old-style" Hollywood movie sets.

In a recent interview with The Sunday Telegraph, Tracey-Ann explained: "The way the system works is that you’re stuck in this studio a long way from anywhere, and you’re living, eating and breathing the job.

EastEnders star slams script writers

Former EastEnders star Tracy-Ann Oberman has blasted show script writers claiming they "must have been on crack" when they penned her storylines.

Pregnant Tracy-Ann, 37, played the venomous Chrissie Watts for one year and bowed out of the show last Christmas after her alias murdered on-screen husband Den Watts (Leslie Grantham).

Of the storyline, the actress told the Radio Times: “It didn’t make logical or emotional sense - but they said, ‘That’s the soap convention, dear, get used to it’.

Chrissie to stay in the Square

Despite the death of her dastardly husband, Chrissie Watts is not about to be written out of EastEnders' scripts.

Speculation had circulated that Tracy-Ann Oberman, who plays the murdering barmaid on the soap, will get her marching orders after her latest spell in the limelight dies down.

But the 34-year-old has instead been offered an improved deal and will remain in Walford for at least another year, the Daily Star reports.

Chrissie is centre of attention at the moment after she bumped off Dirty Den following his latest spell of philandering.
