Enders Syed In suicide bid

A report in the Daily Star reveals that troubled Syed Masood will try to take his own life after being shunned by his Muslim community for being gay.

Syed survives but there’s more heartache in store when mum Zainab pays him a visit in hospital and tells him she wishes he had died.

The incident is a real wake up call to Syed’s father Masood who is shocked to find his son unconscious, and he’s furious when he overhears Zainab’s cruel words. For several months viewers saw Syed cheat on his partner Amira with Christian Clarke.

The storyline has been popular with some viewers but has at times proven controversial with the character of Zainab Masood coming under fire for her views on homosexual relationships.
