Tiana Benjamin to leave

Tiana Benjamin - who plays Chelsea Fox - is to leave Walford later this year, it has been announced.

Actress Tiana Benjamin is set to quit Albert Square after four years on the popular BBC soap.

Digital Spy reports that Benjamin has played beautician Chelsea Fox since May 2006 and the 25-year-old recently decided to leave pursue other projects.

She said : "I have had an amazing time at ’EastEnders’ and this has been a very difficult decision for me to make but now seems like the right time to move on and leave Chelsea behind even through she’s been such a fantastic character to play."

The actress is set to film her final scenes in the coming months and details of her exit from the Square have not been revealed.
