EastEnders actor-turned-documentary maker Ross Kemp is turning his hand to literature with his debut novel.
Devil To Pay, which is to be released in July, is set in London and Afghanistan and centres on a fictional ex-soldier called Nick Kane.
It will be the first in a series of books featuring the character.
The book marks Kemp’s first foray into fiction, having previously worked on spin-off books from his TV documentaries on gangs and Afghanistan.
Kemp, 45, said: he was "thrilled" and was "looking forward to a long and fruitful career".
