Ice man Davro first to get the boot

Shame ... Bobby Davro fails to make it past week 1 in Dancing on Ice

"Funnyman" Bobby Davro last night became the first male star to be voted off Dancing On Ice.

The ex-EastEnder, 50, waved farewell after receiving no votes as all five judges backed The Bill’s Gary Lucy in the skate-off. Both men had ended in the bottom two.

Bobby told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield he was disappointed but said: "I know I’m not the best skater.

"You have got to be the best to win this and I just didn’t cut it. But I have had a wonderful time."

Judge Emma Bunton said: "Bobby really made me laugh, but this is Dancing On Ice, not Comedy On Ice."

Nicky Slater said: "You had me smiling from ear to ear."

Bobby and Molly Moenkhoff danced to George Harrison’s Got My Mind Set on You, but won just 10.5pts and the public rejected them.

Bookies Coral last night made Lucy 4/1 second favourite, behind actress Hayley Tamaddon on 2/1.
