Natalie Cassidy misses Patsy Palmer

Former EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy has admitted that she is frustrated at missing out on the chance to reunite with Patsy Palmer and Sid Owen on screen.

Palmer and Owen returned to the soap last month to film Frank Butcher's funeral following the death of Mike Reid in July. The pair play Bianca and Ricky Butcher in the show, sister and brother-in-law to Cassidy's character Sonia.

Speaking to The Sun at the premiere of The Other Boleyn Girl, Cassidy said: "It was frustrating they came back after I left. It would have been great to work with Patsy again.

"I feel that door's closed now and I need to go and do other stuff."

However, Cassidy admitted she wouldn't rule out a return to Albert Square.

"Bianca and Ricky have been gone for nine years. They've gone out, done their stuff and come back. Maybe in nine years I might go back."

Cassidy released a fitness DVD last year which became the fastest-selling video ever. The actress lost two and a half stone after leaving EastEnders last February.
