I want my Honey

Perry Fenwick wants his character, Billy Mitchell, to get back with estranged wife Honey.

Perry, who has played Billy for 14 years, thinks he and Honey (Emma Barton) could make a second go of their marriage with their children Janet and William.

Perry said: “I know what Billy would like. He still wears his wedding ring. He wants Honey back and his kids. Billy’s a very simple man. He’s a bit wet but he’s a nice guy.”

At the same time, the soap’s bosses have revealed that they fear viewers will desert the show after it was shunted from BBC1 to BBC2 to make way for coverage of the Olympics.

But they hope the return of Leitita Dean, aka Sharon Rickman, in August will get fans back on track.
