Cheryl Fergison joins cast of new Derren Little sitcom The Spa. 

Cheryl Fergison has revealed her delight at the start of filming for her new sitcom.

The actress - who was axed from EastEnders earlier this year - is to star in a sitcom written by Derren Little - who created hit iTV1 show Benidorm.

Cheryl told her Twitter followers: "Just been to rehearsals for Derren Litten's new TV show The Spa."

She added: "Start filming next week, funny scripts, am enjoying too much."

Cheryl played Heather Trott for almost five years.
