Ben Mitchell actor leaving later this summer
Joshua Pascoe, who plays Ben Mitchell is set to film his final scenes later this summer. He's been at the heart of one of the biggest storylines as we saw him bludgeon Heather Trott with a picture frame recently.
The news of his departures comes within days of his being arrested in connection with an alleged sexual assault. He was released on police bail from Wimbledon police station.
In a report from today's Daily Star an EastEnders insider said: “Joshua was always going to leave at the end of his current contract due to his storyline.
“There was no way Ben could stay on the Square long-term after killing Heather. But how it all comes out is a closely guarded secret.
“The big exit was only finalised last week and everyone has been sworn to secrecy as to how he gets found out.
“But they are confident it will be the outcome everyone has been longing for.”
An EastEnders spokesperson last night confirmed that Joshua would be leaving at the end of his current contract.
She said: “It will come as no surprise to the viewers of EastEnders that the character of Ben will be departing Walford when the truth finally emerges.”
She said it would be “inappropriate” to comment on the sex assault claims “given that there is a police investigation under way”.

Personally, I'd like to see
Personally, I'd like to see this storyline end by having Ben commit suicide by jumping off the roof of the Vic.He's on the roof, threatening suicide, confesses everything to DCI Marsden, Richie and his counsellor, before he jumps off the roof, onto a stone wall and is killed. Before he dies, he tells Richie that Lola and the baby are to get everything that he inherited from his mother and her husband upon their death.

I would like Ben to take responsibility and become more of the nice boy we hope he can be and less of the slimy slithery creep he is... And when he does the right thing and confesses he edits jay out of his alibi so jay and Lola can live happily ever after with baby lexi
