Trouble ahead for Mandy

EastEnders star Nicola Stapleton has said that her character Mandy Salter is left shaken following a fight with her mum Lorraine.

Mandy's mum Lorraine (Victoria Alcock) appears in Walford later this week and soon reveals a nasty streak when she starts bullying Mandy.

When tensions reach boiling point, a fight breaks out between the pair.

Stapleton told All About Soap: "Lorraine has a hold over Mandy that can't be broken. [The fight scenes] are very dark and were a real challenge to film. I was so scared of hurting Victoria, and we had to get quite violent with each other. Mandy's left shaken."

Of Mandy's relationship with Ian Beale, Stapleton added: "It would change their relationship if they did get married - it isn't necessary for them, but it would be nice for them to have a happy ending.

"If they do tie the knot, all I ask for is that it's filmed in August. It's freezing wearing a wedding dress in winter!"

Lorraine will appear on screen for a few episodes before returning later in the year.
