The Mirror reports that Heather Trott will be killed off next year as part of a shock new storyline
Albert Square residents will be left stunned following the brutal murder of Heather Trott, a report has claimed.
It was announced in September that Cheryl Fergison, who plays Heather, is leaving EastEnders after bosses chose not to renew her contract. An insider at the time teased a 'dramatic' departure for Heather.
The Mirror claims that Heather's luck will begin to change when she gets a new man in her life, but things go horribly wrong and she ends up being killed in cold blood following a blazing row.
A source revealed: "Heather's life will change dramatically in the New Year. Things seem to be going brilliantly for a while. She has a new man in her life and there is even talk of marriage.
"Her exit will stun the Square and everyone is looking over their shoulder wondering who is responsible. Even when the killer emerges there will be repercussions for years ahead."
The murder will remain unsolved for weeks and will cause misery and chaos in the square, the report suggests.

I think that it would be a good exit for Heather seeing as how she has not really had a single bit of happiness in all her storylines. At least she will not have to worry about being bossed around by Shirley anymore. only horrible thing is who is going to take over care of George in the story or is he going to leave the series aswell?

I think it's dreadful that Heather is being killed off. Hasn't there already been enough sadness from Tanya's cancer and Pats' death?? I think that Heather should have at least one bit of happiness in her life. I think it's absolutely sick that someone would think writing storylines like that!! I personally think that it may be better for her to move away with her son, so then at least she can have a new life somewhere else, and she is with someone she absolutley adores and cares about, other than dying and leaving him behind. The bosses should get their act together and maybe consider renewing the actresses' contract, for at least six more months at least. Don't they realise that they need to have at least one teent tiny ray of sunshine in this darn miserable soap???
