EastEnders goes to the Max for Branning week

EastEnders to air additional Wednesday episode in a 'week to remember'

For the week of 21st to 25th November, EastEnders will be transmitting every week night on BBC One, in a week that sees the return of Max Branning (Jake Wood) and the arrival of his older brother Derek (Jamie Foreman).

The additional episode will air on Wednesday 23rd November following BBC Children in Need dislodging the normal Friday episode the previous week.

Max left Walford in August when his affair with his ex-wife Tanya was exposed. He left because Tanya told him that she didn't want to be with him. However, Max was unaware that the real reason Tanya shunned him was because she had just been diagnosed with cervical cancer. How will he feel when he discovers the truth about Tanya's illness?

Max's return to Albert Square will coincide with the appearance of his older brother, Derek Branning, which will shock the entire family who haven't seen him for years. Will Derek be the same destructive, dangerous man he used to be, and will his family welcome him back with open arms?

Tanya will also reveal a long held family secret, which will shake her mother, Cora, and sister, Rainie, to the core.

'Branning Week' will see secrets and lies exposed which will rock the family in a week Walford is sure to remember.
