But how far is Michael prepared to go?
In an interview with Soaplife magazine, Steve John Shepherd has revealed that Michael’s so intent on exacting revenge on his dad Eddie he’s even prepared to let his half-brother Tyler get killed!
Michael has lined up a boxing match for Tyler for September 13th, which is the anniversary of his mother’s suicide, and he's also promised Vanessa Gold a big pay out if she can ensnare Eddie and split him and Carol Jackson up.
Steve said, “Michael wants Eddie to shoulder the blame for his mum’s death…
"Damaged people are dangerous. He’s come up with this elaborate plan where he’s orchestrated a fight for Tyler.
“He’s made Tyler think he’ll win, but his opponent is a superior fighter. Eddie dotes on Tyler so Michael thinks it will teach his dad a lesson if Tyler gets hurt.”
As to why Michael chose to enlist Vanessa in his revenge plot, Steve said, “He sees weakness in her… She goes along with the plan because she’s desperate for money, but questions Michael when she finds out about the fight.
“She doesn’t want to be part of anything illegal and is worried about Tyler getting hurt.”
Asked how Michael reacts when Vanessa tries to back out of their plan, he added: “He flips and threatens her, saying that if she doesn’t go along with his plan to make Eddie suffer, then she won’t get her money and Jodie won’t get the dream wedding she wants.”
As to whether Michael would see Tyler get killed, Steve said, “His [Michael’s] mind works in a laser beam kind of way – he puts a beam on his project and doesn’t worry about any collateral damage that might be caused.
“He wants justice in his own mind. It’s recognition from Eddie. It’s closure.
As Ian’s life crumbles around him he is forced to make a shocking decision about his future.
