Stapleton teases Mandy comeback

Nicola Stapleton says that Mandy's return will have a big effect on one Walford resident.

EastEnders' latest returnee Nicola Stapleton has hinted that her character Mandy Salter's comeback will have a big effect on Ian Beale.

Stapleton signed up to reprise her role as Mandy earlier in the summer after 17 years away from the show.

Tabloid reports have since revealed that Mandy will be found working as a stripper by Ian Beale. Ian will subsequently offer Mandy a place to stay and help her turn her life around.

Stapleton told TV Times: "Mandy has got her eye on every man in the Square - but with Ian it's just a friendship.

"She lifts his spirits and has a big effect on his life."

EastEnders fans can expect to see Mandy's comeback scenes at the end of August.
