Tabloid reports suggest Max and Tanya's affair will come to an explosive end.
EastEnders' Vanessa Gold will attack love rival Tanya Jessop when she discovers Max has been cheating on her.
Viewers have recently seen Max and Tanya give in to temptation and begin a passionate affair while their partners Vanessa and Greg remain oblivious.
The News Of The World reports that Tanya will decide to end the affair after Max's brother Jack finds out. Max then decides to tell Vanessa everything, leading to the fight.
An EastEnders insider revealed: "She [Vanessa] hunts Tanya down to her house and forces her way in before attacking her but Tanya doesn't take it lying down."
However, in a contradictory report the Daily Star Sunday claims that Max and Tanya's daughter Lauren will be the one to expose the affair.
Another source told that paper: "Everyone remembers how Lauren exposed Max's affair with Stacey Slater - it was one of the soap's most dramatic episodes ever.
"So bosses decided it would be brilliant if she ruined her dad's love life all over again by telling Vanessa he's a cheat."
The scenes will air later this summer.
