Former EastEnders actor Sam Attwater wins Dancing on Ice 2011.
Former E20-er and EastEnder Sam Attwater lifted the winner's trophy on Sunday when he and parter Brianne Delcourt won Dancing on Ice.
On beating presenter Lauren Hamilton to the prize, he thanked his professional skating partner, saying "I wouldn't be where I am now, at the standard I'm at, if it wasn't for Brianne." He described her as a 'friend for life.'
Voting statistics released by the ITV1 skating show reveal that Sam and Brianne won 63% of the vote against Lauren and her partner Colin following their performances to 'Bolero'.
Attwater will be joining the Dancing on Ice tour, which begins in Sheffield on 9 April, but first came to viewers' attention on EastEnders spin-off E20, playing Leon Small. The character departed from the main soap last year, but told PA that he would 'definitely consider' a return to Walford if asked by bosses.
"EastEnders for me was an amazing time and I do miss it and I miss everyone there," he went on. "I've had a few castings and a few meetings and I'm still waiting to hear on a few jobs, so who knows what's in store for me. Hopefully something great."
