Dancing On Ice fears for Sam

Sam Attwater's professional Dancing On Ice partner, is in bed with flu. How will that affect his chances?

Sam Attwater's victory hopes have taken another knock as his partner, Brianne Delcourt, has been laid low by the flu.

The ex-EastEnders actor, who is the bookies' favourite to win, revealed today that the 29-year-old Canadian figure skater is tucked up in bed trying to recover before Sunday's final.

It's another blow for the 24-year-old star who ended up injured trying a risky routine which saw him try and lift Brianne and skater Nina Ulanova.

He took a tumble during rehearsals leaving him with strained muscles and forcing him to rely on painkillers and adrenalin in the fast-approaching final.

Speaking to ITV1's Lorraine, he explained Brianne was having her own health troubles.

He joked: "Well I did my solo skate last week and it went well - so I thought I'd leave her at home.

"No, she's not very well, she's got flu so I said stay in bed and rest."
