Sam Attwater is early favourite for this year’s Dancing on Ice.
EastEnders actor Sam Attwater is the favourite with Coral bookmakers to win Dancing On Ice, as the latest series gets under way tonight. He is currently the 5-2 favourite, having been backed at 5-1 when the betting opened a month ago.
Also favoured is children’s TV presenter Laura Hamilton. She was 6-1 in the early betting, but after reports of her impressing on the ice she is now the 3-1 second favourite behind Sam. Musician and 1990s rapper Vanilla Ice, at 18-1, is also proving popular in the early betting.
"Sam and Laura are already bad results for us, but although it’s still too early to know who the stars of the series are going to be, these two are obviously showing the most promise in training and expected to go a long way," said Coral spokesman Gary Burton.
Nadia Sawalha, at 6-5, and Angela Rippon, at 5-4, are rated the most likely by Coral to be voted out by the public tonight, and therefore eliminated before the show officially gets under way in two weeks’ time.
