Kara’s not ready for kids yet

Kara Tointon is looking forward to working with actor boyfriend Joe Swash again - but says she is in no rush to have his babies.

The actress, who left EastEnders character Dawn Swann behind earlier this year, will appear in the pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarves alongside presenting I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here Now! presenter Joe, her boyfriend of a year.

But while there have been rumours the pair are ready to settle down, Kara admits she does not feel mature enough to have children and is not remotely broody.

"Not at the moment," she told New! magazine. "I read that I am, but no, I’m not.

"I think you need to be ready for that sort of thing mentally and I need to grow up a bit first.

"I love looking at houses, but we’re not house-hunting yet. I still feel like I’m a teenager, so settling down seems a bit far off."

But Kara, 26, would love to have kids in the future with Joe, who has a son Harry from a previous relationship.

She added: "He’s incredible. He’s always been amazing with kids."

And she is happy for him to be her Prince Charming even if Joe, currently in Australia for his I’m A Celebrity duties, was less convinced by taking the panto role.

She explained: "Joe’s not too pleased about being Prince Charming.

"He says, ’I can’t be Prince Charming. I’m no Steve Jones! I’ve got to be Buttons!’ But obviously there isn’t a Buttons in Snow White."
