Ian jeopardises his place on a council committee.
Ian is anxious about the council event as he knows he needs to impress people to get a place on the committee. He is nervous that Mandy will embarrass him and when they arrive a pompous member of the committee recognises Mandy from strip clubs and propositions her. Ian is disgusted so he lifts the cake and shoves it in the man's face.
"At first Ian wants to impress the council so he can to get on the committee but when he hears one of the members insulting Mandy, something in him snaps. Mandy is happy when she realises that Ian is willing to stick up for her even if it means jepordising his place on the committee"
