Tony King reappears in EastEnders

It was a storyline that rocked Albert Square and left the lives of Whitney and Bianca in tatters.

But evil predator Tony King is going to get his just deserts next month, when his case goes to court.

The monster, who pretended to be devoted to Bianca while seducing her underage stepdaughter, is to be sentenced to a massive 13 years behind bars.

Barbara Windsor quit EastEnders after a mysterious run-in with producers, her screen ex-husband told TV Biz.

Larry Lamb, who plays Archie Mitchell, revealed something "really upset her" - forcing her to leave the show after 15 years.

He said Babs would never have wanted to walk away from the BBC soap, describing it as her "life and soul".

Larry told The Sun: "Something has happened that really upset her and I’m going to talk to her about it."

Don Gilet likes to be evil

’EastEnders’ star Don Gilet enjoys playing "evil" Lucas Johnson.

The 38-year-old presents a fat-burning workout designed to slim and tone the body, titled Jessie Wallace: Look At Me Now.

Rita will miss Babs

’EastEnders’ star Rita Simons has said that she will miss Barbara Windsor when she leaves the show, describing her departure as a "real blow".

According to Inside Soap, the actress, who plays Roxy Mitchell in the show, said: "I’m not over Larry Lamb (Archie Mitchell) leaving, so it was a real blow."

"For me, Barbara is the show and it’ll be very strange when she goes."

Sid excited over Bianca twist

The fiancée of EastEnders star Sid Owen has revealed that her partner is thrilled over his forthcoming wedding plot.

Last week, it emerged that Owen’s character Ricky Butcher will tie the knot with childhood sweetheart Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) next year.

TV presenter Polly Parsons, who is preparing to marry Owen in 2010, has now joked that the actor’s screen nuptials will be good practice for the real thing.

Turner not keen on live EastEnders

EastEnders’ star Lacey Turner has said that she’d rather not appear in the first live episode of the soap in February.

Asked by the Press Association if her character Stacey Slater would feature in the episode, Turner replied: "I hope not but I think I will be - I’m not very good at doing things live, I’m awful in fact, I can’t even do a speech, but hopefully it will go all right."

Josie Lawrence to leave EastEnders

EastEnders star Josie Lawrence has announced that her character Manda Best will leave the soap in Spring 2010.

The actress and comedian has seen Walford’s resident Pottery teacher rekindle her teenage romance with Minty Peterson, introduce her son Adam to the Square and even managed to win over unlikely friends such as Shirley and Heather.

Problems with Minty and a huge secret that Manda has been harbouring will lead to her leaving the Square.

EastEnders Christmas scripts are stolen

EastEnders scripts for the Christmas Day specials have been stolen - sparking fears the plotlines could be leaked on the net.

The two top-secret manuscripts were taken during a break-in at the writer’s home.

They were on a laptop nicked with other valuables.

The woman writer, who asked The Sun not to identify her, was devastated.

BBC executives are now worried their full plot details will be revealed.

Masoods renewed for ’big money’

Eastenders bosses have re-signed the Masood clan on big-money contracts to replace the Mitchells as Walford’s first family.

The move means Nina Wadia, 40, who plays mum Zainab, will become the queen of Albert Square when Barbara Windsor quits as Peggy Mitchell next year.
