Welcome to the brand-new Walford Web

Welcome to Walford Web - the home of EastEnders on the Internet.

If you're reading this then it means we've successfully upgraded to the latest version of our website. We make changes every year or so to keep things fresh, but this year is the biggest change ever. We've moved onto a brand-new, faster and larger server as we'd outgrown our old one after using for several years.

But that's not all. For those of you who are technically minded we've revamped our site from the ground up so that it uses Drupal, an off-the-shelf content management system. The site used to run on a home-coded system that was beginning to show its age, so I felt the time was right to improve things.

There are still a couple of things to put right - some of the older news articles need a tidy up so they look right for the new design of site, and we need to add pictures to those older articles as well.

But the good news - if you knew your way around the old site, you should find your way quite happily around the new one. Apart from changing the colour a bit and going for a different shade of blue, we're by-and-large the same as before!
