... try again. Fantasy EastEnders has changed with another new game.
We launched Fantasy EastEnders a couple of weeks ago to great fanfare. I’d spent the best part of a month coding up a complex game based around a virtual stockmarket. The testers behaved and the so game worked beautifully in testing.
Then we let everybody else loose on the game, and all hell broke out! I logged in one Sunday evening to find that the share prices, which were all around 20 pounds each when I’d checked them that morning were suddenly up around 500,000 pounds each and fluctuating wildly! Someone had found a loophole in the market and exploited it (and before anything thinks I’m moaning I’m not, they were NOT cheating and had found a way to beat the game).
Anyway, we’re wiser now, but in the end ... the game wasn’t working. People were being put off by the complexity of it and not really playing.
So, over the Easter weekend I’ve sat at my computer slaving away and have replaced the game with a new one, which we’re calling "Fantasy EastEnders Famous Fives", which can be found by CLICKING HERE.
The new game is much simpler, and hopefully more people will play it - just pick five EastEnders characters you think will be popular in the next episode. If you like, choose five more, and five more, and so on ...
After the episode airs, you get points if your chosen characters appear, or perfect certain key actions.
The winner is the person with the most points at the end of the month.
We’d love to see more players on the game - it’s the only way we can test it’s working!
