So what is Spotlight?

The rebranding of the site last weekend was just the beginning. Here’s the first of our new series.

Welcome to Walford Web. We’re really excited today to be launching yet another new part of the website. Called "Spotlight", it’ll bring you exclusive interviews with the cast, the crew, and people from behind the scenes of EastEnders.

It’s something that we’ve wanted to do for a very long time, but we’ve just never had the resources to do it. But we’re always expanding our writing team. So it’s thanks to Charlotte who pinned down John Yorke, one of the head honchos in BBC department (and former Executive Producer of EastEnders) who kindly gave us this interview a few weeks ago, which we’ve been dying to share with you.

We hope you enjoy reading it, we hope you enjoy the new look site as well, and we hope you’ll continue to visit the site in future.
