Kalidas would ’never say never’ to Enders return
Kirkwood: We want to deliver shocks to Enders audience
Kara Tointon, best known for playing EastEnders’ Dawn Swann, is to take part in a BBC3 documentary to discuss her struggle with dyslexia.
In the documentary, entitled "Don’t Call Me Stupid", the actress reveals how her reading difficulty affects her job, particularly the ability to read scripts for roles. Ricky Groves, who played Tointon’s on-screen partner Garry Hobbs, also takes part in the programme to compare the methods the pair use to learn their lines.
"Since I left the show last year, it’s been even more of a struggle to read and remember lines for last-minute auditions," the actress told The Sun newspaper. "I hope this experience will teach me how to manage dyslexia, and to fulfil one of my biggest dreams - to read a book from cover to cover."
