EastEnders bosses are livid after an imposter leaked what he claimed were top secret plot details on the internet.
The prankster set up a Facebook account pretending to be sexy star Kara Tointon.
They fooled more than 1,000 fans into believing Kara — who plays Dawn Swann in the BBC1 soap — had accepted them as an online pal, then let slip a key plot twist in a forthcoming show.
The phoney Kara claimed she knew vital details about the Danielle and Ronnie saga.
The message has since been removed.
Viewers have been in suspense for weeks over whether Ronnie Mitchell (Sam Janus) will learn Danielle (Lauren Crace) is her daughter.
Last night a show insider said: “This is the last thing we needed.
“We’ve been trying to keep a lid on this for weeks.”
The hoaxer used personal snaps of Kara, 25, and boyfriend Joe Swash to convince fans the account was real.
The EastEnders source said: “Whoever has done this has got too much time on their hands
“While it may seem a laugh, it could have ruined it for millions of viewers.”
