So, an innocuous looking thread appeared in our Forums yesterday, entitled "Another Returnee". An intriguing start to a Sunday morning, I’m sure you’ll agree. What we didn’t expect was the way that the thread would grow like topsy over the next 24 hours until it became a beast with a life of its own.
The news of course, was that Shane Richie was coming back to EastEnders. Or at least - at the time - that ...

Thanks to FamZz for letting us use her picture
We’ll have more on this story in the coming days. Jack’s going to be shot and presumably this all ties in with Billie Jackson’s upcoming gun storyline.
Immediate thoughts on this ...
1) Jack will be injured to the extent that he has to lie in a hospital bed without his shirt on. That should get the ratings up a bit, as Scott Maslen’s chest is about the only ...

OK, here’s the analysis of the final two categories in the 2009 Awards, the "Least Favourite Storyline" and "Most Missed Character".
Least Favourite Storyline
Garry/Dawn/Phil love triangle (40.24%)
Nick and Dotty trying to kill Dot (32.27%)
Heather Whos the Dad? (13.94%)
Christian and Syed’s affair (13.55%)
Let’s face it, some real stinkers of storylines there in the most part. I’m not really sure what Christian and Syed’s affair was doing on the shortlist though, I wonder if maybe the poll was ...

So as from the 4th of February CGI trains are to become a regular thing in Walford. Personally I think this is a fabulous addition to the show and I love it when such attention to detail is looked at, it gives the show a more real feel to it. Sadly however Diederick Santer is going to be the first one to ride that train out of town though which is sad news. However it ...

As I’m feeling uninspired today, I’m going to use a topic from the Forums as the basis of today’s Blog update.
Why do the doctors in Walford only seem to stick around for such a short period of time? Most doctors that I’ve known in my life have been associated with their surgery for a very, very long time. My doctor growing up knew from a baby right until I left to move to London and ...

The week’s raced by again, so it’s time for another Spoiler round-up. First off though - an episode alert, there’s no episode on Friday 26th February because of some sporting event or other, so it’s just three episodes to report.
The most worrying piece of news of the week is that I’m going to have to come up with a new tagline for this Blog as Dotty is leaving us (thank goodness). Her real mother comes ...

Friday 19 February is going to be special this year for so many reasons, it’s high time we summarised everything that we know that’s going to happen (so far).
First thing - we start the birthday celebrations
The birthday’s going to be a very special day for Walford Web. As we’ve mentioned before, we’ve got lots of things planned. Two new series, some very big surprises that we’re keeping under our hat for now (but they’re a ...

So, back last month we brought you the news headline that Bradley Branning was going to commit suicide, according to reports in The Sun, and got ourselves into trouble for accidentally posting using Bradley’s death as our big "Breaking News" headline, which in turn caused it to be automatically tweeted, which in turn caused the usual suspects to claim we were being selfish.
But anyway enough of that ... The Sun triumphantly reported an exclusive which ...

As you get older, it seems that everywhere you look people are having babies and procreating like it’s going out of fashion.
EastEnders is no different, but as has been pointed out frequently on the Forums, why is there’s no such thing as a planned pregnancy in EastEnders - it’s always either a whodunnit mystery, or a love triangle, or a random stranger you’d never have thought of impregnating someone equally random (cf. Heather and Darren). ...

One of the perils of being a well-known, enormous, and frankly the best independently operated EastEnders website on the internet is that you have deal with competition. You know the sort, the children that are all just starting out creating their first websites and who think nothing of coming along and taking every picture you have and passing them off as theirs.
Unfortunately, what they also decide to do is just link directly to our pictures, ...
