In detail

Carol sees Bianca leaving Pat’s house, dressed in a low cut top and wearing full make-up. Carol’s suspicious and decides to follow Bianca. Carol overhears Bianca on her mobile to someone called ’Bobby’, laughing flirtatiously and telling him she will see him later. After Carol shares her suspicions with Zainab, Zainab tells Carol to trust her instincts. Zainab takes it too far however when she comments on Bianca’s impulsiveness and inability to settle down, to which Carol responds with a snide comment about Zainab’s broken relationship with Syed. Later, Carol tries to apologise but Zainab tells her she is sacked. Zainab offers Carol some advice, telling her to approach the situation with Bianca carefully.

Carol, however, still convinced that Bianca is having an affair later confronts her in the Square. Bianca storms off, claiming that Carol simply can’t bear to see others happy. Later, at the BBQ in the Square, Carol challenges Bianca in front of everyone, declaring that she has been cheating on Ricky; she holds out Bianca’s underwear drawer and starts throwing her racy underwear into the crowd. Ricky is hurt by Carol’s revelation and Bianca is left humiliated. Carol’s eyes are alight with triumph.

Meanwhile Pat can see that Peggy is feeling troubles; she tells Peggy to call Ken and convince him that she is the best person to run the pub. Peggy plans a BBQ in the Square in order to attract punters and impress Ken with her business skills. Later, Peggy declares that the BBQ is in honour of Jim after finding out it’s Jim’s birthday.
Later, Peggy spots a group of undesirable looking ’down and outs’ gathered around the BBQ, where Shirley is serving Ken. Peggy angrily tells Shirley to get rid of them, but backtracks when Ken compliments Peggy for what he thinks is an act of charity, feeding the homeless, and a sign of a healthy business. Later, Ken and Peggy flirt in the pub, discussing the brewery’s offer for the Vic. Ken then makes it clear, however, that the brewery would want to make changes to the pub, and would therefore not be keeping Peggy on; he says they don’t tend to employ people over thirty. Peggy is left shocked and angry.

Elsewhere news of Ryan and Janine’s engagement spreads; Bianca questions Janine’s intentions towards Ryan; Ryan and Janine bicker over their wedding plans, Ryan wants a small wedding, whereas Janine wants to invite everyone excluding Pat and Peggy; Ronnie has problems with the renovation of R&R and has to ask Roxy for help; and Whitney is upset when Billie ends their relationship.
